Billy Talent Tickets

Rock Sound are delighted to announce that this November, the Rock Sound Riot 2012 will be headlined by BILLY TALENT.

They've long been one of Rock Sound’s favourite bands and they are excited to reveal the 11-date tour, which calls at venues throughout the UK in support of Billy Talent's new album 'Dead Silence' (released September 10 on Atlantic), will be the biggest tour in Rock Sound's history. Good times!

"I can't tell you how excited I am to be a part of this tour," says Billy Talent frontman Ben Kowalewicz. "It's been way, way too long since we visited the UK for a full headline run, and to say that we're stoked would be an understatement! We're going to have some really awesome bands with us, and to be working alongside a magazine that we truly respect and admire makes this the perfect package."

Says Rock Sound editor Ben Patashnik: "It's awesome to be working with Billy Talent, a band all at Rock Sound has loved for years, and it's genuinely thrilling to be taking this step up into massive venues. Can't wait for November!"

Support bands will be announced in due course.

Billy Talent is a Juno Award-winning Canadian rock band formed in 1993. They performed and recorded together for about a decade before finding a wide mainstream following. Originally called Pezz, the group originates from Streetsville, in Mississauga, Ontario, but now hail from Toronto, Ontario. The name is inspired by a character named "Billy Tallent" in the 1993 book "Hard Core Logo" by Michael Turner (filmed in 1996) and it has been the name of the band since 2001, after a dispute with the American Pezz.
